Over the past twenty-five years I have worked with many editors from different publishing houses and Kristy is one of the most talented. She has a keen and meticulous eye, understands my stories and seems to have a photographic memory. She is very thorough and, very importantly, is kind, so the editing process becomes an enjoyable time of learning and fun. I’ve learned so much more about plot, structure, sentence order, and the incidentals of grammar and punctuation with Kristy. With gentle suggestions, she helps turn my stories into something beautiful. Later I can’t see Kristy’s influence but I know it’s there. I find this subtle transformation fascinating. And I believe that is the mark of an extremely good editor.
